One of the first to graduate from LHBS |
Even the youngest children can be graduates, and achievers! On September 12, 2009, the first group of families to participate in our Little Hands, Big Steps early reading program celebrated their completion of the 10-week program with a ceremony at the Mathare North library. Each youngster received a Reading Certificate, a bag containing some books to take home and keep for family reading, and a small stuffed animal. In October, families in our Sipili, Laikipia West District library will have their chance to take part in this family reading initiative. |
