Our Truck, from the Safaricom Foundation |
...Go Round and Round, thanks to the Safaricom Foundation. KidsLibs Trust took delivery of this sturdy diesel pick-up truck from the foundation in September, beautifully decorated with our bibliosaur logo and the Safaricom Foundation logo on a cheerful bright green background. Sadly, the official in charge of handing out inspection stickers decided that the branding had to go, since the truck is listed as being white on its log book, so he took a pen knife and removed it. Ouch! However, despite losing its bright green skin, this trusty vehicle has been making the rounds from Mathare North to Eastleigh to Kawangware and even to our furthest outpost, Sipili in Laikipia East district. Without it, we would have a hard time meeting our responsibilities to KidsLibs library staff, users and communities, so thank you, Safaricom Foundation! |
